Dish Deal spearheads ITC case against Comcast and others

By Andrew Karpan (April 26, 2022, 7:45 p.m. EDT) – A company that sold video-on-demand programs for TVs more than a decade ago and then moved to Texas uses its recent licensing deal with Dish to support new patent infringement claims against Comcast, Charter Communications and Altice with the US International Trade Commission.

Broadband iTV Inc. announced its latest round of patent infringement claims in a press release Monday that noted its new 76-page complaint, filed April 22 with the ITC. This time the case “deals with patent infringement by the cable giants based on various aspects of their VOD platforms”.
